The Qafila team was entrusted with the profound responsibility of capturing the monumental work and historical significance of the Institute of Otorhinolaryngology & Head & Neck Surgery at the esteemed IPGMER SSKM Hospital. Our mission was to create a compelling film that celebrates this institution's legacy as India's oldest general hospital and its evolution into a leading center of excellence in modern medicine.

• Historical Foundation: The film highlights the hospital's establishment in 1707 by the Council of Fort William, recognizing its status as India's oldest general hospital and part of world heritage, later renamed SSKM in 1954 [00:01].

• Architectural Heritage: We captured the iconic structures like the Woodburn Block [00:08], alongside the modern Academic Building [00:15], showcasing the blend of historical significance and contemporary healthcare infrastructure.

• Apex Tertiary Healthcare: The video emphasizes its position as the only Apex Tertiary Healthcare Setup in West Bengal [00:16, 00:22], providing a comprehensive view of its sprawling campus within the bustling city of Kolkata [00:22].

• Visionary Leadership: Featuring Professor Dr. Arunabha Sengupta, Director & HOD, the film articulates the institution's commitment to patient care and the visionary leadership driving its success [00:28, 00:52].

• Center of Excellence: We detailed the institute's establishment on March 3rd, 2020, as an iconic and state-of-the-art department at IPGMER SSKM Hospital [00:53], showcasing its status as the first of its kind in India with 180 beds and world-class facilities, including a daily OPD for up to 1000 patients and 24-hour ENT Emergency and ICU services [01:28].
